Although William Hurt died in March at the age of 71, the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross will live on. It was confirmed in October that Harrison Ford will be reprising the role for at least two upcoming Marvel films, marking the Han Solo and Indiana Jones actor’s first foray into the superhero genre. As for why Ford decided to join the MCU, the answer he gave was, frankly, classic Harrison Ford.

Harrison Ford will debut as Thunderbolt Ross Captain America: New World Orderand then he would come back a few months later for Thunders. It’s clear that Ford entering the MCU is a major draw for the franchise, and here’s the simple answer the actor gave to The Playlist’s Yellowstones podcast when he was asked why he decided to work with Marvel Studios:
