Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) competitor from Hyderabad K Madhavi Latha ignited a line on Monday after a video arose where she was seen checking personality cards of burqa-clad Muslim ladies at a surveying corner, requesting that they lift or eliminate their shroud. A body of evidence has been enrolled against her.

It said, “A case is enlisted in Malakpet Police headquarters against Smt Madhavi Latha, Challenging competitor, BJP under segments 171C, 186, 505(1)(c) of IPC and Area 132 of the Portrayal of Individuals Act.”
