Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) competitor from Hyderabad K Madhavi Latha ignited a line on Monday after a video arose where she was seen checking personality cards of burqa-clad Muslim ladies at a surveying corner, requesting that they lift or eliminate their shroud. A body of evidence has been enrolled against her.

In the wake of casting a ballot at the Amrita Vidyalaya, Latha visited a few surveying corners and halted at Azampur to check the IDs of ladies holding on to cast a ballot.

She likewise asked surveying authorities to permit casting a ballot once the IDs were appropriately checked, Indian Express revealed.

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, headed by occupant MP Asaduddin Owaisi, enlisted an objection against her with the Political race Commission of India (ECI). Owaisi is looking for a fifth consecutive term as MP from Hyderabad.

“I’m an up-and-comer. According to regulation applicant has the privilege to check the ID cards without the facemasks. I’m not a man, I’m a lady and with a ton of humbleness, I have just mentioned them – could I at any point if it’s not too much trouble, see and confirm with the ID cards? If someone has any desire to make a major problem out of it, that implies they are frightened,” she told ANI.

She prior said that she did as such as there were errors in the citizen records and the names of a few electors were absent. “The Police work force appear to be exceptionally dull, they are not active…They are not actually looking at anything. Senior resident electors are coming here yet their names are erased from the rundown. A couple of them are occupants of Goshamahal yet their names are in the rundown of Rangareddy…,” she told ANI.

Hyderabad Gatherer said in a post on X that a case was enrolled in Malakpet Police headquarters. It said, “A case is enlisted in Malakpet Police headquarters against Smt Madhavi Latha, Challenging competitor, BJP under segments 171C, 186, 505(1)(c) of IPC and Area 132 of the Portrayal of Individuals Act.”

Casting a ballot started on at 7:00 am for the fourth period of the Lok Sabha decisions in 17 voting public in Telangana.
