Dubai: ‘Raptors’ are hitting UAE and Gulf showrooms simultaneously – and that’s a world first, according to US carmaker Ford.
“The Middle East offers the perfect environment for the Raptor to roam – and as the first region home to all three Ford Raptors, we’re proud to call it ‘Raptor Land’,” said Pedro Simões, Marketing Director, Ford Middle East.
The Middle East will be the first territory to have the Ford F-150 Raptor, Bronco Raptor, and Ranger Raptor at the same time. “The Raptor represents the pinnacle of Ford off-roading performance, and its unique DNA combines three unique nameplates,” said Simões.
It includes the Bronco Raptor and has been developed by Ford Performance to be the ‘world’s first Ultra4 Racing-inspired SUV’. The model’s 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine can deliver 418hp and 596Nm of torque.
Ranger Raptor
Carrying a 3.0-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6, the second-generation version delivers up to 392hp and 583Nm of torque on the FOX suspension system.
F-150 Raptor
The third introduction is the all-new Ford F-150 Raptor, with a new five-link rear suspension design and onboard tech ‘inspired by the trophy trucks cruising Baja and Johnson Valley’. “A high-output 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine delivers more low-end torque, while a 10-speed automatic transmission and aluminum steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters make this pick-up easier to handle than before,” the manufacturer said in a statement.
The F-150 Raptor’s latest updates include a two-speed 4×4 system with an automatic torque-on-demand transfer case and a 4.10 final drive ratio.
