The lowest tariff found in the 2022 wind auction was ₹2.84 (~$0.036)/kWh, an increase of almost 5.5% compared to the lowest tariff of ₹2.69 (~$0.038)/kWh quoted in the Tranche XI auction in September last year. .
Here are the four lowest wind tariffs found in the 2022 auction:
#1 Gujarat State Urja Vikas Nigam has announced the winner of the tender for purchase of electricity from 500 MW grid-connected wind power project (Phase-III). Successful bidders include Gujarat State Electricity Corporation for 70 MW at a tariff of ₹2.84 (~$0.036)/kWh, Rajpur Renewables (EDF Renewables) for 30 MW at ₹2.90 (~$0.035)/kWh, Juniper MW Energy for green energy. ₹2.95 (~$0.036)/kWh, and Solarcraft Power India 3 (Blupine) for 100 MW at ₹2.96 (~$0.036)/kWh.
Also, TEQ Green Power XII (O2 Power) gets 70 MW and ACME Pokhran Solar 50 MW with reference to ₹2.90 (~$0.035)/kWh each. Twelve Renewable Power (Ayana) project won 140 MW out of 200 MW tender at ₹2.90 (~$0.035)/kWh.
#2 Indian Solar Corporation’s 1.2 GW Inter-State Wind Power Project (ISTS) (Tranche-XII) auction saw NTPC Renewables winning 200 MW at a tariff of ₹2.89 (~$0.0373)/kWh, and EDF for 300 MW. at ₹2.93 (~$0.0378)/kWh. JSW won 300 MW at ₹2.94 (~$0.0379), and Torrent Power supplied 300 MW quoting ₹2.94 (~$0.0379)/kWh.
#3 SJVN, Scatec India II BV, and O2 Power have won the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) bid for the 1.2 GW Inter-State Connected Wind Project (ISTS) (Tranche-XIII). SJVN won 100 MW with a tariff of ₹2.90 (~$0.035)/kWh, and Scatec India 300 MW at ₹2.95 (0.036)/kWh. O2 Power wins 200 MW at ₹2.95 (~$0.036)/kWh. The bidding capacity is 600 MW.
#4 Sembcorp (Green Infra Wind Energy) won the Railway Energy Management Company’s tender to procure 50 MW of wind power at ₹3.11 (~$0.041)/kWh. Tariff-based auctions are held for power consumption of trains for traction in Maharashtra.
3 The lowest hybrid tariff found in hybrid auctions in 2022
The lowest tariff found in the combined wind-solar auction was ₹2.53 (~$0.033)/kWh, which is 8% higher than the lowest bid price of ₹2.34 (~$0.031)/kWh found in the Tranche-IV auction held in August. Last year.

#3 Sprng Ojas, Tata Power Renewable Energy, ReNew Power Solar, and TEQ Green Power IX (O2 Power) have been announced as winners in Rewa Ultra Mega Solar’s tender for the development of a 750 MW grid-connected hybrid power project in Madhya Pradesh. Sprng Ojas, Tata Power Renewable Energy, and ReNew Solar Power won 160 MW, 200 MW, and 300 MW, respectively, all quoting a tariff of ₹3.03 (~$0.038)/kWh. O2 Power bid for 150 MW but was awarded 90 MW at ₹3.04 (~$0.038)/kWh.
