Parliament Speaker Rahul Gandhi, in a recent parliamentary address on Sunday, recalled visiting Lalchok in Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir to raise the flag, angering Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Gandhi argued that the parliament encouraged tricolor love in Kashmir through Bharatjod he yantras and that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stole the spirit of the tricolor.

Gandhi claimed Modi shared the tricolor flag with 15-20 BJP members at Lal Chowk but was appointed by “100,000 Kashmiri youths” in the BJP.

Recall Modi Lal Chowk’s comments in parliament

The comments by BJP spokesperson and former Union minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore came after Gandhi unfurled the tricolor at Lal Chowk, the historic clock tower commonly known as “Ghanta Ghar”,

BJP Jammu and Kashmir Chairman Ravinder Raina echoed similar sentiments, saying the flag he was waving was to blame Gandhi for masterminding the Modi Valley incident by repealing Article 370.
