King Charles and his family are spending Christmas Day together at Sandringham for the first time since 2019.

Like many up and down the country, the pandemic prevented senior members of the royal family from enjoying their usual celebrations in 2020 and 2021. And so today is to turn to tradition.

However, it also marks the first Christmas since then Death of the Queen In September, aged 96.

Ahead of today’s festivities, Sky News looks at how the royal family has spent Christmas over the years.

1965
