Atal Setu inauguration LIVE updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Atal Setu, the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL), on Friday. The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri-Nhava Sheva Atal Setu is built at a cost of about ₹17,840 crore. It is the longest bridge in India and also the longest sea bridge in the country. Besides, PM Modi will also unveil projects of over ₹30,500 crore during his visit to Maharashtra.

Just a few hours back, PM Modi addressed a gathering after inaugurating the 27th National Youth Festival on Friday. In his speech, he urged the youth to participate in the electoral process to “reduce” the influence of dynastic politics.

Atal Setu inauguration LIVE: Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the 27th National Youth Festival in Nashik, PM Modi said, “India is the mother of democracy. If youth express their political views by casting their votes, the future of the country will be good. Better participation of youth in the democratic process will ensure a better future for the country.”

First-time voters can bring new energy and power to India’s democracy, he said. “If you participate in active politics (and electoral process), you will be able to reduce the influence of dynastic politics. You know that dynastic politics has harmed the country,” he was quoted by PTI as saying.
