Energy Saving Week – “Save energy to ensure a better future for next generation”
Bhubaneswar, 21 December 2022: TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited, a joint venture company between Tata Power and Government of Odisha, observed Energy Conservation Week from 14 to 20 December 2022 with an aim to increase awareness among employees, vendors and customers about global warming, climate change. , the need to save energy sources and promote ways to do it.
An awareness session was conducted on energy conservation at Naraj Vocational Training Center in Cuttack. As part of the company’s flagship Club Enerji The initiative, Tata Power Club energy awareness module, workshops on energy conservation, curb waste, importance of cleanliness, environmental protection were conducted at various schools in Angul Division including Hingula High School, Brahmanbil High School, Patitapaban High School, Basudevpur High. School and Panchayati Raj Kuteswar School etc., nearly 360 students participated in the interactive session.
The Club Enerji initiative aims to promote resource conservation clubs among school students to create awareness about sustainable energy conservation.
For consumers in rural areas, 45”Camp Gaon Chala” was organized to promote awareness of energy conservation. More than 1650 consumers participated in the camp. Also organized a customer recognition center at the customer care center with more than 1500 people actively participating. Online quiz competition is also organized for consumers.
As part of the Energy Conservation Week celebrations, TPCODL also conducted ‘Best Practices’ and ‘Challenges’ competitions on energy conservation. The competition involves determining the best practices that can create an impact at the end of the customer or within the organization, such as reducing energy consumption in their own buildings, replacing old high energy consumption equipment with BEE start-up equipment, minimum use of high-energy appliances, etc. The ‘Challenge’ competition involves innovative methods for achieving minimal energy consumption with maximum results in the office/home/outdoor space.
Commenting on the importance of energy conservation, Mr. M. Shenbagam, CEO, TPCODL, said, “Natural resources cannot Bring it again.
