Currently, the open beta has been rolled out to the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore.
There are some specifications that your Windows PC needs before you can download Google Play games. Your PC must be running Windows 10 or 11 and you need at least 10GB of space. Also, your PC must have Intel UHD Graphics 630 or similar graphics card, a processor with four cores, 8GB RAM, and a Windows administrator account.
The Google Play app is easy to set up and quick to use. Games like Genshin Impact ran smoothly in my testing and each game takes you through keyboard controls which are very helpful in staying on top of your gaming mission.
I loved the great visuals of walking around Genshin Impact’s Teyvat which is full of life and amazing graphics. The only drawback is that looking around with the mouse is difficult and not as responsive as swiping a phone screen.

1. Click Download Beta on the Google Play game website here (opens on new page).
2. Once downloaded, Right click on the folder a click Run as administrator.
3. Wait for the software to install.
4. Once installed, you will be prompted for the app Sign in to your Google account. Click away – a warning page will open in your browser.
5. Now you can access most of the games, but to download them on some PCs you may need set fire to the rain Windows Hypervisor Platform on your computer. This prompt will be displayed immediately if you need to accept the installation. Click to continue a follow on the target screen.
6. Restart your computer when recommended.
