Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren carved names into the Dutton family tree on his own.
The two veteran actors star in the Yellowstone prequel series 1923, premiering December 18 on Paramount+. However, just because the couple stepped into the world of the Duttons didn’t mean they called Yellowstoneown Kevin Costner for some words of wisdom.
“I have a lot of respect for Kevin and his body of work and everything he’s done, and the work he’s doing at Yellowstone,” Harrison exclusively told E! News at the 1923 premiere Nov. 4. “But on my own path.”
Harrison continued, “We don’t have a chance to catch up, but I look forward to it.”
When it comes to saying yes to 1923which marks Harrison’s second series regular role in a television series ever—he will also star on Apple TV+’s Shrinkingbeside Jason Segelin January—all went to script.
“I wanted to do it because I love writing,” he said. “I thought it was an incredibly ambitious and energetic character to play and it seemed like a great idea.”
