Sunak’s 9-year-old daughter Anushka performed at ‘Rang’ – International Kuchipudi Dance Festival 2022.
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s daughter Anushka Sunak performed Kuchipudi with other children in London on Friday. Her performance was part of ‘Rang’ – the International Kuchipudi Dance Festival 2022, the largest inter-generational festival of the classical dance form in the UK.
The dance festival was organized to mark India@75, and was curated by renowned Kuchipudi dancer Arunima Kumar. “India is the country I come from. It is a place where family, home and culture merge together. I love going there every year,” Anushka told India Today TV after her performance.

About 100 artists aged between 4 and 85 years participated in this program. Live musicians, elderly contemporary dance artists (65+ years performing group), wheelchair dancers with learning disabilities, Natrang Group, international bursary students from Poland and many others were part of the event.
Anushka’s mother Akshata Murthy, daughter of Infosys co-founder Narayan Murthy, was also present at the event along with Rishi Sunak’s parents.
Anushka spoke about her love for the dance form and how it helps her get rid of all worries while dancing alongside her friends. Anushka said in an IT interview, “I love to come on stage.
At the age of 42, Rishi Sunak is the youngest Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in 400 years and the first person of Indian origin to hold the post.
Before becoming the Prime Minister, he was the Chancellor of the Exchequer. He and Akshata Murthy have two daughters, Krishna and Anushka.
He is also the first Hindu to hold the highest office in the state and has a Ganesha statue adorning his desk.
