- CJ Frederick And Chris Livingston At the 15:12 mark was the UK’s first option.
- Tied at 7, UCLA quickly built a 33-20 advantage and never trailed again.
- At the end of the half, Lance Ware The Wildcats provided a spark on both ends of the court and UK went on a 7-0 run to pull within 33-27; A Bruin basket near the buzzer made it 35-27 at intermission.
- Scoring leaders were Wallace with seven points, Wheeler with six and Tshiebwe and Tshiebwe with nine rebounds.
In the second half
