Acclaimed Journey studio ThatGameCompany is bringing its mobile game Sky: Children of Light to the PS5. The game will also be available on PS4 for those unable to upgrade to the new console. If you are a PlayStation console owner and you have played Adventure, you are probably familiar with this spiritual replacement for mobile devices.
Sky: Children of the Light was released on Android and iOS a few years ago. And while it’s not a true successor to Journey, it’s inspired a lot of things. A big part of that fact, is because it’s from the same studio. He took some of the things that people loved about the tour and implemented them into this new title. But there are many differences, too. And while Journey stands out as the better of the two games, Sky: Children of The Light is definitely worth your time.
The thing is, some people don’t like mobile games. And that’s great. Now, if you fit into that camp, you can see the game on PlayStation consoles.
Sky: Children of the Light comes to PS5 and PS4 on December 6
Those looking to try this game just have to wait another week. When the game starts on December 6. Like its mobile counterpart, the PS5 and PS4 versions will not release the game. There is however a ‘Journey Pack’ bundle that PlayStation players can purchase for $24.99.
As the name suggests, this set will include elements inspired by the popular Journey title. The package includes a cape, hood, and mask with the same designs used by the Journey avatars. What’s more, there is cross play between console and mobile. So if you have a friend who is playing on their phone, you can play together.
To celebrate the upcoming launch on PS5 and PS4, there is a new trailer that you can check out below.
