With the rapid advancement of technology comes the inevitable question: will we become cyborgs? Although, of course, most of us are cyborgs by typing on something as wearable as one of the best smart watches of Android. But that’s part of the cyberpunk aesthetic.
Corruption, constant surveillance, control of information, and stark disparity between rich and poor are some of the cornerstones of cyberpunk. It is a society zombified by technology and political propaganda rather than a real zombie event.
Cyberpunk 2077 showed these themes in the most detail and, when it launched in 2020, led the number of cyberpunk games on the market. Although the trend has died down a bit, the trend is more popular than ever, even on mobile. That’s why we’ve compiled some of the best cyberpunk games on Android. Enjoy!
Night War: Cyberpunk RPG

At first glance, Battle Night looks similar to Cyberpunk 2077, especially in its use of the color yellow in the posters. Both games will take place in 2077, but the usual stuff ends there.
Battle Night is an action RPG that combines elements of cyberpunk and fantasy. In the story of the game, you take on the role of a detective and work to join a team to investigate a government conspiracy. Build your team, equip them with futuristic equipment, take on humongous bosses, or develop your photos when you leave your phone. Battle Night is constantly adding new content through updates in the form of new characters, tools, and new quests.
CyberCode Online – text MMORPG

Like Battle Night, CyberCode is an idle RPG, with a unique difference. It’s just text. Everything, be it exploration, combat, hacking, or communication, is done through text. Don’t let it get you down, because you will explore an immersive cyberpunk world and fight with your friends like in games with characters.
Like a regular RPG, CyberCode Online features deep lore, characters, weapons, and power-ups. And you can interact with other players by raiding dungeons or trading items. And a quick look at the reviews shows that most users give CyberCode a fair score. That’s pretty easy these days, so it’s best to take advantage of it while you can.
Cyberika: Action Cyberpunk RPG

With bright neon scenes and an expansive world to explore, Cyberika may be the closest you’ll get to Cyberpunk 2077 on Android. In this open-world RPG, you can do anything. You can explore the city in a futuristic sports car, drop by the ripper doc to install new body upgrades, or just drive out to destroy local gang members.
Each district is controlled by a different group equipped with advanced weapons and technology. In other words, you need everything you need to take on the many enemies of the name. Your journey starts low, but you can improve your character by buying weapons for the future, such as laser guns, wearing body modifications, or armor your avatar with the latest in armor technology.
Cyberlords – Arcology

If you want something more, then Cyberlords is for you. Apparently, Cyberlords is similar to a Genesis Shadowrun game, with an isometric camera style. It takes place in the far future of 2173. You take control of a resistance group that aims to bring down the confederation that seeks to enslave the masses.
Build a team of up to four characters, each with their own special abilities, and equip them with futuristic body enhancements and weapons to challenge the enemies of the game. Cyberlords will cost you $1.99 for an ad-free version, but you can get access by signing up for Play Pass.
Cyberpunk Hero: Epic Roguelike

Welcome to the night city. Never mind the fact that Cyberpunk Hero borrows the name of its setting from Cyberpunk 2077. Cyberpunk Hero is a challenging top-down roguelike where you have one shot at victory. Fail, and it’s back to the beginning.
Cyberpunk Hero offers a choice of three characters, each with its own advantages and way of fighting. As you defeat robots, drones, and cybernetically augmented enemies, you collect coins that allow you to upgrade your character in order to survive the next attack. Best of all, you can control the game using just one finger.
Huntdown: Cyberpunk Adventure

From the pixelated graphics to the unrelenting 2D platforming, everything about Huntdown screams “throwdown.” Huntdown is a 2D cyberpunk action-adventure game inspired by the 16-bit era of entertainment. His story takes place in a dark future where gangs rule and the authorities care little.
The game has been well-received on home consoles and PC, and will be released on Android and IOS in 2021. Huntdown offers you a try-before-you-buy option by offering a short demo, but you have to shell out $3.99 to unlock the full game. It’s a reasonable price to pay for 20 levels full of action-packed destruction featuring three different characters, each with their own ways to fight oppression.
Infinity Ops: Cyberpunk FPS

Infinity Ops is a complete package, with top-of-the-line graphics and a battle royale mode that puts it among the best on Android. Fans of FPS multiplayer games will have a choice of new modes, such as Team Deathmatch, and four different classes to choose from. For those looking for a greater challenge, Infinity Ops offers a Hardcore mode that doubles the damage done or received.
It goes to show that there is no happy ending in the cyberpunk scene, as society has reached the pinnacle of technological development. The remaining forces fight for power and use all the advantages, including futuristic weapons and upgrades, to get the upper hand over the opposition.
Whisper of the Machine

Whispers of a Machine treads a fine line between cyberpunk and the way the world doesn’t involve bright neon lights. There’s little about the game’s visuals that scream cyberpunk, but it covers the same themes of the relationship between man and machine.
In fact, it is a classic adventure game similar to Beyond a Steel Sky and Syberia titles that focus on story and puzzle solving. You take on the role of Vera; an expanded government agency tasked with investigating a series of gruesome murders. Vera’s cybernetics will come into play during the trial when questioning many people in the game, or solving puzzles. Whispers of a Machine comes at a price of $3.99 or is part of the Play Pass.
Cyberpunk now
In video games, cyberpunk fiction tends to focus on action, but it’s really about the story. It is about the consequences that lead to non-technological progress and socio-economic inequality. Cyberpunk covers a wide variety of genres, including RPGs, first-person shooters, retro-inspired platformers, and adventure games. What’s your best cyberpunk experience on Android so far? Let us know in the comments below, and we’ll consider including the game in a future update.
