Sam Harrison and Andrew Milligan ran the fastest parkrun times in the UK this week (3rd December).
Our weekly parkrun top ten is sponsored by our editor Robbie Britton of 1001 Running Tips. Want to run faster at parkrun or your next marathon? Order your copy today.
As if equaling the record run by Clara Evans last weekend wasn’t impressive enough, Sam Harrison took it as a “hold my beer” moment and ran an excellent 15:37 at Long Eaton parkrun this morning. The GB international is someone who continues to improve and it’s no surprise that she beat the marks of Charlotte Arter and Clara Evans, but it will still be a tough outing.
The fastest male runner wasn’t that close to the record (although a Tasmanian devil came close today. See below). Andrew Milligan and Dylan Evans both clocked impressive 14:47s in separate events. Milligan, at Worsley Woods, broke the course record for the event but not his own parkrun PB, which was 14:47 from Waterworks parkrun in September.
Evans however, listed as unattached but we’re going with the Shaftesbury Barnett/Australia entry on the Power of 10, got a new parkrun PB, but still slightly off his 5000m and 5k bests of 13:58 and 14:20. is slow

Everyone runs very fast
Sophie Wallis clocked a blistering 15:51 at Doddington Hall parkrun to become the second fastest in the history of the rankings. We’re sure a huge parkrun PB and a sub 16 minute distance in any format will be a grand consolation for missing out on top spot for the first time. It is also a course record of one second.
Philippa Stone at Middlesbrough was third fastest at Albert Park in 16:43. November saw a win in the Runthrough Teton 10K and a strong outing in the North Yorkshire and South Durham leagues, so December already looks to be on a similar level of performance.
The third fastest male runner was Dominic Nolan with 14:50 just one second ahead of the virtual and real life chasers. A dip over the line edged out Freddie Hessian at Brighton & Hove parkrun, but also knocked Callum Rawlinson down the rankings (but he had to go for a pastry with his mum after the course record in south Manchester so we’ll still be happy).
The fastest course?
This week looks like a bunch of similar events with the two runners at Long Eaton, Doddington Hall, Brighton & Hove and Ferry Meadows, seeing some of the fastest athletes on show. Going on the points for places Long Eaton took the 1st and 4th place biscuits this weekend with Harriet Blood providing a quick assist to Sam Harrison in 4th place with 16:51.
Special mention to James Hansen of UTAS Athletic Club who ran 13:57 this morning at Launceston parkrun in Tasmania. Just 9 seconds off Andy Baddeley’s 13:48 parkrun record, but not eligible for this ranking (due to geography).
