TP Saurya, a unit of Tata Power in India, has received a ‘Letter of Award’ (LoA) from Solar Energy Corp. of India (SECI) to set up a 600 MW hybrid wind-solar project in the area. Karnataka state.

TP Saurya won the project through competitive bidding based on tariffs followed by e-Reverse bidding.

The project is scheduled to be commissioned within 24 months after signing the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

With this project, Tata Power’s total renewable energy projects have increased to 5,524 megawatts including 3,634 megawatts installed and 1,890 megawatts under development or construction.

The Karnataka project is the latest addition to TP Saurya’s hybrid wind-solar portfolio. The company also secured a 300 MW project from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) last year.
