Tata Power Solar Systems, a solar power EPC company and subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy, has been awarded (LoA) of ₹596 billion from NHDC Limited for setting up 125MW floating solar power project.
The LoA is awarded through tariff-based bidding. The project will be awarded within 13 months from the date of award and will provide sustainable energy to MP Power Management Company Limited.
NHDC, a joint venture between NHPC Ltd and the Madhya Pradesh government, had invited tenders earlier this year for this project at the Omkareshwar reservoir in Madhya Pradesh’s Khandwa district. It is said to be one of India’s largest floating solar power projects.
