Tata Power CEO and MD Praveer Sinha announced an investment of Rs 6,000 crore by the company in Odisha.
Speaking at the Make in Odisha conference on Thursday, Sinha said Odisha’s four power discoms, where Tata Power has majority stake, are committed to Rs 6,000 crore capex investment in the next five years.

The company is also in the early stages of exploring the development of a green hydrogen center in the Paradeep region to meet the needs of the industry, he said, adding that Tata Power is also working towards building solar power for the agricultural sector with the state government.
The company has already installed more than 700 solar pumps, in addition to 1,200 dual pumps for community drinking applications across the state. It plans to install 30,000 solar pumps in the next five years, he said.
