HDFC Ltd: Life Insurance Company of India (LIC), the country’s largest insurer, increased its stake in HDFC Ltd to over 5 percent after buying shares from the open market. LIC bought 1.2 million shares from the open market hiking its stake in the company to 5.003 percent, mortgage lender HDFC Ltd said in a regulatory filing on Monday.
JSW Power: JSW Energy on Monday said its arm JSW ReNew Energy has commissioned 27 MW wind power generation capacity at Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu as part of its first phase 450 MW wind power project. “JSW Renew Energy Two Ltd, a subsidiary of JSW Energy, has commenced commissioning of 450 MW ISTS connected wind power project awarded under SECI (Solar Energy Corporation of India) tranche X at Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu with the commissioning of the first phase of 27 MW,” the BSE filing said.
PTC India: PTC India Financial Services (PFS) Ltd on Monday reported net profit standing at ₹103.22 crore for H1FY23 per ₹98.07 crore for H1FY22. The results came after trading of its shares was halted by the exchange due to delays in announcing quarterly profits. The conflict-ridden company hogged the reins earlier this year when three of its directors resigned citing allegations of corporate misconduct, following which SEBI disrupted the company’s board meetings that caused delays in its quarterly results.
Adani Green: Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL), the renewable energy arm of the Adani Group, on Monday announced the commissioning of its third hybrid power plant in Rajasthan, with a capacity of 450 megawatts (MW). With this hybrid plant, Adani Green Energy has the largest hybrid power generation capacity of 1,440 MW. This project consists of 420 MW of solar power and 105 MW of wind power.
Tata Motors: Tata Motors is looking to increase the prices of passenger vehicles from next month to bring its model range in line with stricter emission norms starting April 1 next year, according to top company officials. In an interaction with PTI, Tata Motors Managing Director – Passenger Vehicles and Electric Vehicles Shailesh Chandra said the price revision will also offset the impact of commodity prices, which have remained high for most of the year.
Bharti Airtel: Bharti Airtel Ltd and Meta Platforms Inc. will jointly invest in expanding parent Facebook’s submarine cable infrastructure to India and integrate WhatsApp as a communications platform as a service (CPaaS) in India’s telecom offering for enterprises. Airtel will partner with Meta and Saudi Telecom to expand 2Africa Pearls, a submarine cable laid by Meta that connects Africa, Europe and Asia, to India, Bharti and Meta said in a joint statement on Monday.
Sun Pharma: Delhi HC in its order has stayed in the previous order of November which fixed the fine of ₹10 lakhs of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries for allegedly concealing facts in trademark matters. According to the order, it was approved to last until March 27, 2023, which is when the court will hear the case. On November 22, the Supreme Court of Delhi issued a punishment order. ₹10 lakhs on Sun Pharmaceutical Industries for concealing facts to obtain an ex-parte injunction in its trademark issue with DWD Pharmaceuticals.
Finance Manappuram: Manappuram Finance, which is preparing the contours of succession planning, will announce the names of potential candidates in the next quarter, said managing director and chief executive officer VP Nandakumar. With a market share of 16%, Thrissur-based Manappuram Finance is the second largest NBFC in the country after Muthoot Finance with assets under management of ₹19,190 billion and a customer base of 2.5 million gold loans.
Hatsun agricultural products: Hatsun Agro Product Ltd is a large company with market rate ₹20,759.83 Cr and the company operates in the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. The company announced ₹400 Cr right issue and record date are fixed for the same purpose for determining the rights of the shareholders. Shares of Hatsun Agro Product Ltd closed today on the NSE at ₹963.00 per unit, up 1.85% from the previous close of ₹945.55.
Idea of Vodafone: After the shareholders of Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) approved the issue of shares worth Rs. 1600 crore to them last month, mobile tower company American Tower Corporation (ATC) on Monday expressed doubts about Vodafone Idea’s intention to repay its dues by January. In November, VIL approved the issuance of shares to ATC Telecom Infrastructure, the Indian branch of the company on a priority basis to settle their debt by converting a fixed amount into equity, in case the amount is unpaid in 18 months.
