The NSE Nifty50 ended up 52.3 points at 18660.3, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 144.61 points at 62677.91.
Hindalco Industries (up 2.44%), Oil and Natural Gas Company (up 2.25%), Tech Mahindra (up 1.85%), JSW Steel (up 1.84%), UPL Ltd (up 1.76%), Eicher Motors (up 1.7%), Tata Steel (up 1.66%), IndusInd Bank (up 1.47%), State Bank of India (up 1.42%) and NTPC (up 1.42%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
