A choral group from Southampton is getting into the Christmas spirit with a carol service at a church in Chandler’s Ford.
The Southampton Choral Society will perform at Chandler’s Ford Methodist Church on Saturday, December 10.
Founded in 1943, the choir now has more than 100 members and is led by musical director Andrew Hayward who took over following the group’s 75th anniversary. Meanwhile, Mayor Cllr Jacqui Rayment of Southampton is the choral society’s honorary president.

Starting at 7.30pm the concert includes Missa Sancti Nicolai by Austrian composer Joseph Hadyn and Manchester Carols with poems from Carol Ann Duffy set to music by Sasha Johnson Manning.
