There’s an amazing new port making the rounds these days on the PS Vita platform: Shadowgun. The game was difficult because it was from the Chinese side of the field, so there was a language barrier at work. Also, the released vpk has a bunch of copyrighted content, so you won’t find download links on the usual homebrew news sites (including wololo.net).
That being said, we’ve tested the port (it’s been over a month now), and it’s amazing in many ways.
What is Shadowgun for PS Vita?
In Shadowgun, players use virtual touchscreen controls to control the protagonist, John Slade. Controls include an analog stick on the left used for movement, and context-sensitive action buttons on the right, used for shooting or interacting with the environment. It is important to Shadowgun‘s gameplay of its cover system, to be able to play football with cover if necessary, with Slade hiding behind walls and screens to avoid enemy fire, and open fire himself at the opportune time. The game supports gamepads, which this Vita port takes full advantage of.
Shadowgun is a popular work history on Mobile (iOS and Android) in the early 2010s, when game companies were trying to use the new power of mobile phones for real games, and did not separate the casino program.
Ha, bitterly, it is one of the best Mobile shooters, in line with Mass Effect Infiltrator or Dead Space Mobile.
The most interesting thing is the complex meaning of this port by Rinnegatamante:
But it seems that Moqi01 has achieved the impossible here, and managed a successful port to the PS Vita.
As for the port, it plays smoothly, with the occasional glitch. The most important thing is that the screen goes black sometimes when an explosion is shown, but now it’s not a game for us. This is a great addition to the Vita Library, although if I can be completely honest, I would have preferred the Mass Effect Infiltrator port, just for the sake of being part of a previously known AAA franchise.
