NEW DELHI: Reliance Industries Ltd, India’s largest company by revenue, profit and market value, has topped Vizikei Newsmaker’s 2022 report as India’s most visible corporate in the media.
State Bank of India (SBI), ICICI Bank Limited, Bharti Airtel Limited and One 97 Communications Limited are in the top 5 companies in the ranking.
The ranking is based on Vizikei’s News Score, which measures news visibility for brands and individuals by analyzing news volume, headline presence and publication reach.
Vizikei’s AI and ML technology gathers media intelligence from over 50 million news articles across more than 400,000 online publications.
The report considered over 1,000 Indian corporations for analysis.
This latest report from Vizikei, Asia’s fastest-growing communications technology and PR software, recognizes the hottest companies and newsmakers in 2022, which were visible for reasons ranging from investments, acquisitions, partnerships and more.
Reliance Industries Limited, from various acquisitions of brands like Mandarin Oriental, Addverb Technologies, Campa Cola and more to announcing investments of Rs 3.5 trillion, and awarded a project to create India’s first multi-modal logistics park and much more news they contributed to Reliance being number one in the position for three consecutive years.
SBI also made various investments in companies. From various partnerships and the signing of memorandums of understanding to various news related to the write-off of loans and the raising of 10,000 million dinars through infrastructure bonds contributed to reaching the second position.
ICICI Bank Limited, from various acquisitions of stakes in multiple companies like Gift Citi Clearing Corp, Verve Financial Services, NARCL and more, to allotment of lakh shares under ESOS and rising profits making it the third most visible company.
Bharti Airtel Limited created quite a buzz during the launch of 5G and crossed the million user mark, various features, plans and product launches across Airtel, Airtel Payments Bank, Airtel KSStream contributed a lot to take the fourth position.
One 97 Communications Limited, which was listed at number five for less than a year, from falling share price to share buyback, to launching various services like BNPL to book train tickets through IRCTC, various recruitments and changes to positions at the highest level contributed to making it the fifth most visible company.

Infosis Limited(6), Tata Consultancy Services Limited (7), Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited (8), Maruti Suzuki India Limited (9), Tata Motors (10), HDFC Bank Limited (11), recently ranked startup Zomato Limited at 12th place, followed by Wipro Limited (13), Akis Bank Limited (14), NTPC Limited (15), Tata Steel Limited (16), ITC Limited (17) Larsen & Toubro Limited (18), Life Insurance Corporation of India (19), Pfizer Limited (20).
