Pitt Meadows Road was closed for several hours in the middle of the night
A vehicle struck a pedestrian at Ford Detour Road and McTavish Road on the evening of December 9
On Friday evening, December 9, a vehicle struck a pedestrian in Pitt Meadows, closing a rural road for several hours.
Ridge Meadows RCMP were called to the scene at Ford Detour Road and McTavish Road, where a victim was found in a ditch.
According to Provincial Health Services Authority communications officer, Susan Seto, BCEHS was dispatched to the scene before 6 pm and brought an individual to the hospital in serious condition.
The Integrated Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Service (ICARS) was then called to investigate the scene.
Ford Detour Road remained closed for several hours while the investigation was completed.
