Dec 22 (Reuters) – Nottingham Forest’s men’s and women’s teams will display the ‘UK for UNHCR’ logo on the front of their shirts for the rest of the season after the Premier League club announced a partnership with the United Nations refugee agency on Thursday. .
As part of the agreement, Forest have made a financial donation and will support relief efforts for people fleeing conflict and persecution around the world, the East Midlands club added in a statement.
“We are delighted that for the rest of the season we will be using the front of the iconic Nottingham Forest shirt to tell such an important story,” Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis said in a statement.
“It would be an honor to feature his name on our shirts in support of this important cause.”
Promoted Forest, who are third from bottom, did not have a main sponsor on the front of their shirts during the first part of the campaign before the break for the World Cup.
