Jack Eichel a game-time decider for the Golden Knights against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden on Monday (7 p.m. ET; TVAS, NESN, ATTSN-RM, ESPN+, SN NOW).
The center left the third period of Saturday’s 4-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings with a lower-body injury. He scored 1:04 into the game.
“He’s going to make a game-time decision,” Golden Knights coach Bruce Cassidy said. “That was a tough one for him. I don’t know if he’s played here in a few years and had a good year. He was focused. Not until game time.”
Eichel will be at TD Garden on Sunday to take care of it, Cassidy said. He has 29 points (13 goals, 16 assists) in 26 games. The native of North Chelmsford, Massachusetts, has not played in Boston since December 29, 2019, while he was with the Buffalo Sabres.

Buffalo Sabres
Jacob Bryson will return to the lineup for the Sabers against the San Jose Sharks on Sunday (7 p.m. ET; SN, MSG-B, NBCSCA, ESPN+, SN NOW).
The defender missed four games with a lower-body injury suffered by the St. Louis Blues on Nov. 23.
“Switched my neck a little bit and then had to get an MRI to see what was going on,” Bryson said. “The results came back good and some work was done and it’s better now.”
Bryson practiced with the Sabers on Saturday for the first time since being injured and running with Casey Fitzgerald in the third round in training and in the morning. He has one goal and five assists in 20 games this season.
“He probably won’t get his regular minutes until we see and feel he’s back up to game speed,” Buffalo coach Don Granato said. “But when he gets back into the game, now that we’re hoping to keep our top four healthy, he can focus on his game.”
Straight ahead Vinnie Hinostroza he left practice early Saturday morning with an undisclosed injury and did not participate in the morning skate.
“He raised something,” Granato said. “He’s still kind of a day-to-day kind of guy.”

Colorado Avalanche
Josh Manson is out all week for the Avalanche with a lower body injury.
The defenseman, who was injured in a 6-4 win against the Buffalo Sabers on Friday, has six points (two goals, four assists) in 21 games this season.
Andreas Englund was recalled from Colorado of the American Hockey League. He has one assist in four NHL games this season.
“Englund played well when he was with us,” Avalanche coach Jared Bednar said Saturday. “I like what he’s done when he’s going up. … A big (6-foot-3, 189 pounds), heavy, strong guy who’s been a good puck mover for us on the back end.”
Philadelphia Flyers
Cam Atkinson He said he was getting closer to the start of his season, but the former spent every day with a body ache.
Atkinson added that he was fully cleared for contact and was not restricted in any way.
“It’s great to be back with everyone and take a few licks and see what I’m doing,” Atkinson said on Saturday. “I’m alone every day now.
“It’s been great. A little change but just working out the kinks. I’m getting close, but not quite where I think I can help this team now. But I’ve been close before. of nothing.”
Atkinson was second on the Flyers in goals (23) and points (50) last season. Philadelphia is last in the NHL in goals per game (2.36).
Atkinson said the nature of his injury allowed him to skate and stay in shape, but it will take a game or two to get his time with the puck back to normal.
“If I’m playing and if we have a day off, even one day off, even if I play 30 games and I have a day off, I always feel like the next training I’m a little off,” he said. . “Maybe it’s more mental than not. So it’s not clear to play a game that takes a game or two to adjust, but we’re on a good schedule for me right now. I feel good. I think I’ve had a really good time, but you never know until you play a game.” — Adam Kimelman
