We may all be excited about the new cars coming out in 2023, but the automakers themselves have a roadmap that goes even further into the future. Many have plans for the next generation of a model as the current one is coming out. Now, a company that specializes in predicting model roadmaps says we have a lot of cool cars to look forward to soon.
That company is AutoForecast Systems and while it’s not directly tied to any automaker, it gets these predictions right more often than not. We’ve already covered how it expects the current generation Ford Bronco to end production in 2029. After that, it thinks we’ll get a new generation Bronco and an all-electric version.
Take a deeper look at Ford and you’ll find that AFS expects a Mustang Mach-E Coupe to arrive on the scene in 2026. If true, it will debut in July of that year in Cuautitlan, Mexico. That’s where the current Ford Mustang Mach-E is made so it makes sense that a variant would come from there.

Another interesting tidbit from the forecast is that AFS thinks Chevrolet will begin production of its all-electric Corvette in May of 2026. That seems consistent with other recent reports about the Corvette’s future. What’s interesting is that AFS is saying nothing about the rumors of new sub-brands under Corvette, Escalade, and Camaro.
It’s worth noting again that these are just predictions and AFS does not have any direct ties to these automakers. While it’s likely to get a lot of guesses right, there are a few in both of these PDFs that seem a little geez to us. Take for example what it expects for Tesla. It says that the next production start date for a new model will not be the Cybertruck but instead, it will be the Roadster.
In fact, it’s apparently coming sooner than anything we’ve mentioned here. If correct, the two-door super sports car will go into production in July next year. That would be more surprising than anything Cybertruck related. We haven’t seen any signs that production will begin on the Roadster and we can’t say the same about the Cybertruck.
