Ayana Renewables Power Private Limited (ARPPL) and NTPC Renewable Energy won the tender for the 250 MW solar power project for the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Corporation (MSEDCL). MSEDCL’s open tariff is 9.65/kWh, while the awarded capacity tariff is 9.0/kWh.

Ayana Renewables Power Private Ltd (ARPPL) and NTPC Renewable Energy, both bidders were awarded similar bids.

150 MW capacity was awarded to ARPPL at Rs. 9.00/kWh. NTPC Renewable Energy is asking for a total of 250 MW of generating capacity at Rs. 9.00/kWh but get only 100 MW at the same price.

Greenko MP01 IREP Private Limited 200/1200 – 9.04

Interestingly, Greenko, which had bid for the full quantum of 250 MW, missed out with a bid of Rs 9.04 per kWh. Greenko recently won the full tender for 3000 MWh energy storage from NTPC.

The auction was moved up in August of this year. For projects selected as part of this tender, two tariff rates will be offered. These will be referred to as the “Non-Solar Production Hour Tariff” and “Solar Production Hour Tariff.”

The tariff for energy supplied during solar production hours will be Rs 2.42/kWh. The applicable tariff of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) will include the rates for both solar and non-solar production hours. It will remain unchanged for the duration of the PPA. The winning bidder will be given the freedom to sell any excess production during any contract year that exceeds 10% of the annual capacity utilization factor reported to other organizations, but MSEDCL will have first refusal.

The winner of the auction will get the energy cost at the rate of 75% if the energy supply during non-solar production hours is more than the stipulated amount of 600 MWh for each 100 MW of contracted capacity and MSEDCL buys this additional energy.

Scheduling of energy throughout both solar and non-solar production hours will be used to distribute energy. During non-solar production hours, it must provide 600 MWh of daily energy against the facility’s 100 MW contracted capacity.

In addition to the capacity for solar, wind, or hydropower, the winning bidder may determine the type and energy rating of the energy storage system to be constructed. Energy storage facilities may consist of mechanical and chemical systems, pumped storage systems, battery energy storage systems, or a combination of these.

The project can be laid out in several blocks, each of which must have at least 50 MW of electricity. Anywhere in India is a possible location for the project. Energy storage and generation components of the project may have different locations and inject energy through multiple interconnection points.

The developer of the replacement program will be responsible for establishing the connection between the system. Interstate transmission lines, power transmission and interconnection, and the establishment of infrastructure Power account.

From the results of the last purchase, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Corporation (MSEDCL) Discover the best price of Rs 2.90 / kWh for 100 MW of the 500 MW that is being auctioned to secure 500 MW of long-term energy from grid-connected intrastate solar projects. SolarArise was the lowest bidder, while state-owned SJVN Green Energy, and Tata Power’s subsidiary Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL) made up the remaining amount. Both were awarded 200 MW at bid prices of Rs 2.95 and Rs 2.97 per kilowatt hour respectively.
