As the Lions looked to delay the in-form Vikings from being crowned NFC North Champions, their efforts were stymied by the Vikings after taking a 23-31 lead in the 4th quarter. With Justin Jefferson leading the charge for with the Vikings, they were easily the better team on paper and proved their mettle on the pitch as well.
However, the Lions staged a last quarter comeback to eventually beat the Vikings 34 to 23 in what turned out to be one of the biggest upsets of week 14 so far.

Led by coach Dan Campbell, the game against the Vikings was perhaps the biggest for the Lions this season. The Lions are in no position to drop one point over the next five games starting with the Vikings if they need to avoid the NFC Wild Card race. They fulfilled their requirements after an amazing comeback win.

The Vikings, on the other hand, are looking to clinch the NFC North division with a win over the Lions today. Although they were without left-tackle Christian Darrisaw, center Garret Bradberry and Pro Bowl safety Harrison Smith with injuries, they still managed to outscore the Lions fairly comfortably through the first three quarters.

And the Lions, despite being relatively injury-free in the debut of first-round draft pick Jameson Williams, were frustrated by the Vikings’ attack in the first three quarters. Their return to necessity, however, was one for the ages and Lions fans who were at Sunday’s game will never forget it.
