Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for PS5 finally has a release date. However, it is not correct. It is best described as a release date, although the standard time is confirmed but the actual date is not available. Either way, the players were wondering when they would be able to play.
Insomniac Games announced Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 during a special PlayStation video presentation in September of 2021. But at that time it was not announced when the game was planned to launch. In a post today on the PlayStation Blog, Insomniac Games confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will arrive in the fall of 2023. That’s less than a year away.
And while it’s great that the game is coming out soon, there’s no doubt that players want a game that’s more beautiful. So hopefully Insomniac will take the time it deserves. Until now. Posting a statement in February saying “in progress” when asked when it would come out.
Spider-Man 2 is a PS5 release
This may not surprise anyone, but Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will release exclusively on PS5. Without launch for PS4 or PS4 Pro. As a result, down the road, the game should go to PC. Currently both games are already available on Steam.
Speaking about next year’s release for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Creative Director at Insomniac Bryan Intihar said “What a year it has been for PlayStation Studios; here at Insomniac Games we are very proud of the work of our partners. “Thanks to everyone for a successful 2022… and here’s to next year as exciting as we continue to prepare Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for the release of next fall.”
Apart from Spider-Man 2, Insomniac is developing Wolverine for PS5. However, there is no release window and it may be out. Insomniac has confirmed that the game is in the works. So a release before 2023 is not in sight.
