KPI Green Energy has announced that it has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tata Motors Passengers Vehicles Ltd., a subsidiary of Tata Motors to sell 7.50 MWp (Megawatt Peak) solar power. The long-term agreement was entered into under the independent power producer (IPP) segment of the company.


Earlier this week, KPI Green Energy was also awarded a contract to develop a solar power project totaling 24.90 MWp under the electricity producer segment captured from 7 units.

The company is developing the project through its wholly owned subsidiary – KPIG Energia Pvt. Ltd. and Sundrops Energia Pvt. Limited.

According to the company, the implementation of development work has begun at the site and all capabilities are scheduled to be completed on March 31, 2023, in various areas.

KPI Green Energy, formerly known as KPI Global Infrastructure, develops, operates, and maintains captive solar energy projects for its clients. The company is also a manufacturer and marketer of solar energy under the Solarism brand in Gujarat.

Shares of KPI Green Energy were trading at Rs 935.95, up 1.72 percent.
