The esoteric indie title Kentucky Road Zero will be available Tuesday on iOS and Android as part of Netflix’s suite of mobile games. The game based on the story seems to lend itself well to a mobile version, and after waiting more than six months from the publisher Annapurna Interactive said. Kentucky Road Zero coming callsnow you can get lost in his other world from the phone in your pocket.
Kentucky Road Zero, from developer Cardboard Computer, is hard to explain. It’s not a game like the real adventure story you’d see in a game. I played it for the first time when the final version of the game was released after years of development, and I have never tried anything like it before or since. My colleague Andrew Webster summed it all up nicely, and if it helps, this trailer of the “TV edition” for consoles should give you an idea of what you’re getting into.
Netflix also announced Annapurna Twelve minutes will join his game line on Tuesday, but I think I’ll leave that out. While the time loop game features a strong cast including James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley, and Willem Dafoe, I didn’t like the ending. If you’re looking for something different, I suggest you play it Immortality, another mystery game available on Netflix, which I really enjoyed on Xbox earlier this year.
