Lexington, Ky. – After announcing its complete 2023 competition schedule earlier this month, the University of Kentucky gymnastics program and the Southeastern Conference unveiled its complete 2023 network schedule. With Tim Garrison at the helm of the program for his 12th season, the Wildcats kick things off with a Blue-White meet on December 11 at Memorial Coliseum at 2pm EST.
ESPN continues to provide expanded coverage of Southeastern Conference gymnastics in 2023 with more than 40 hours of action broadcast on ESPN platforms. ESPN2, ESPNU and SEC Network will broadcast a record 25 live meets featuring SEC teams during the regular season and SEC Network’s “Friday. Night Heights” franchise returns in 2023, with eight consecutive weekends of high-flying action around the conference starting Friday, January 6.
Viewers will be treated to six “Friday Night Heights” tripleheaders featuring SEC squads during the 2023 regular season on SEC Network, ESPN2 and ESPNU, including a quadruple-header on Friday, Feb. 13. In total, the SEC Network will display 19. Live meetings in the 2023 regular season. In addition, Before the Heights SEC returns to Network+ this winter, leading to “Friday Night Heights.”
The SEC Gymnastics Championships will be telecast live, with the 2023 edition airing exclusively on the SEC Network. Coverage of the afternoon session flips to 3:30 pm ET and the evening session wraps up at 8 pm with the championship edition of Within the SEC will air on Tuesday after the SEC Gymnastics Championships. Within the SEC takes viewers behind the scenes, as the SEC Network crew spends time with different Southeastern Conference teams as they prepare for Saturday’s championship. The show, shot in a cinematic style, delivers new vantage points and unique audio from the teams competing for the trophy.
ABC is home to the 2023 NCAA National Collegiate Women’s Gymnastics Championships, with the championship final live on Saturday, April 15 at 4 p.m., the semifinal round on Thursday, April 13 on ESPN2, with Semifinal I at 3 p.m. and Semifinal II Thursday at 9 p.m. Surround championship coverage will be live on ESPN+ to bring viewers on every device for every second of the action. This season also features streaming coverage of the NCAA Regionals on ESPN+, featuring real-time action of every gymnast and apparatus from the regional rounds in Denver, Los Angeles, Norman and Pittsburgh.
