Mumbai: Jio is launching its True 5G services in Andhra Pradesh by launching its 5G services in Tirumala, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Guntur. Honorable Minister for Industry and Trade, Infrastructure and Investments, Information Technology, Govt. AP, Shri. Gudivada Amarnath and Hon’ble Chief Secretary, Govt. AP, Shri. Dr KS Javahar Reddy, IAS launched Jio True 5G and Jio True 5G Wi-Fi services today at an event organized in Vijayawada.
Jio has demonstrated the impressive benefits of 5G in healthcare, through the Jio Community Clinic medical kit and the revolutionary AR-VR device, Jio Glass. These amenities will bring phenomenal changes in the lives of people in Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking at the event, Hon’ble Minister of IT, Govt. AP, Shri. Gudivada Amarnath said, “I am happy to launch Jio’s True 5G services in Andhra Pradesh. 5G services will bring transformational benefits to the people of Andhra Pradesh in the long run.
In addition to their existing investment of 26,000 crores, Jio has invested over 6,500 crores for setting up 5G network in Andhra Pradesh and this shows their immense commitment towards the development of our state. By December 2023, Jio True 5G services will be available in every city, taluk, mandalam and village of Andhra Pradesh”
Honorable Chief Secretary, Vl. AP, Shri. Dr. KS Javahar Reddy, IAS said, “With the launch of Jio’s True 5G services, Andhra Pradesh is not only getting the best telecom network but will also open doors to growth opportunities in the fields of e-Governance, Education, Healthcare, IT and Small & Business medium enterprises. Jio True 5G will also enable citizens and the government to stay connected in real time and will also improve the implementation and efficiency of government schemes to the end user.
Andhra Pradesh government has a special focus on the start-up ecosystem and the emergence of True 5G services by Jio will give a huge boost to startups working on new technologies like IoT, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Analytics. The advent of Jio True 5G will further boost these start-ups in Andhra Pradesh and give them wings to fly.
Commenting on the occasion, a Jio spokesperson said, “We are excited to launch Jio True 5G in Andhra Pradesh. Jio True 5G network will be spread across the country in a short span of time.

Starting December 26, Jio customers in Tirumala, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Guntur will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer, where they can experience unlimited data at speeds of up to 1 Gbps+ at no extra cost.
