Since the crank bearings of the last 9.8-liter engine were damaged, Emelia hopes that this custom Ford Mustang will last longer than the original rendition.
Establishing herself as one of the most dedicated car enthusiasts in the social media space, YouTuber Emelia Hartford continues to show the world why she belongs in the conversation as one of YouTube’s best builders.
From his critically acclaimed Chevrolet Corvette Z06 to the monster twin-turbo Buick, Emelia knows how to take some of the best American muscle cars and transform them in a way that will make both enthusiasts and non-car enthusiasts alike take notice.
As all car tuners know, sometimes it doesn’t always end well for you or the car — just ask Emelia’s blown big-block Ford Mustang we covered earlier this year. Fortunately for him, he was able to transform the once-2,000-horsepower Mustang from blown to badass in six months.
Now, he gives us a behind-the-scenes look at Ford Mustang as he puts the final touches on it and takes it for its first spin around the block.
Back From The Dead: Emelia Hartford’s Big Block Ford Mustang
While some expected this video to be the unveiling of his custom Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Emelia decided to surprise and delight after months without any solid details on the big block engine rebuild after deciding the crank bearings grenade themselves into oblivion.
But we soon learned that after six long months, the Mustang was alive and breathing again, but still needed to mount its wheels before any burn-in.
Like any true muscle car enthusiast, Emelia decided to mount possibly the widest Hoosier wheels on the street on some 17-inch white wheels that would go down well with the “drag strip connoisseur.”

After running around town in a race against the sunset, Emelia ends up getting the wheels just in time for the golden hour of filming for this unveiling.
Abandoning the regular gray paint of the original version, Emelia went for a Shelby-inspired wrap, complete with white racing stripes. While he admits it’s far from finished (so that means no burnouts or drag runs yet), he plans to take it to his local track after beefing up the axles, suspension, and upgrading to a better seat in race to handle this massive. 2000 horsepower ponies.
As she leaves for another plane, Emelia reveals that the next time we see her she will definitely be ready to show the world her Chevrolet Corvette Z06.
