The $40 bundle includes the 5th generation Echo Dot with Clock, which is basically a standard Dot smart speaker combined with an LED display that can show the time, alarms, weather information, and song titles. Since this is a small speaker, its sound quality is better for personal listening, low volume, but can be connected to large sound systems. The real strength of the Dot lies in its Alexa capabilities, which give you access to a large library of voice commands and skills, as well as the ability to easily control the relevant devices.
The bulb is a color changing Sengled Smart Light Bulb. This is rated at 8.7W and 800 lumens, and it can display 16 million colors. It should pair with your Echo Dot speaker, then you can use Alexa to turn it on and off, light it on or off, or set custom schedules.
