It appears that there are no suspects and a complaint has been filed with the prosecutor’s office.

Sambrook left town on Saturday, February 18, to camp and hike to Glencoe, arriving about 3:30 a.m. that day.

Concerns for his safety grew when he failed to return home from a road trip on Tuesday and missed seeing family and friends in Scotland.

Sambrook has dressed appropriately for the shooting and is believed to have had a tent and other equipment, police said. He is best known for the route he designed to climb Mount Buachile Etive Mor at 3,353 feet (1,022 meters).
