Recently, Radio Vietnam announced its month-long initiative ‘Dilli Ke Dhaakad Kehte Hain – Their Lives’ We – Kyunki Sadak Par Hai Sabka Haq’, which focuses on road safety.
With the alarming risk that negligence on the roads is taking the lives of millions, the radio network has taken an impactful initiative in the Delhi-NCR region. The process emphasizes the need for road safety by delving into the root cause of the problem as well as addressing the measures that can be prevented.
The month-long campaign has been active with victims narrating their hardships and how their lives have been upended by road accidents.
RJ Khurafati Nitin and RJ Akriti are at the forefront of the campaign which is hosting an exhibition for five days in the morning and evening, covering 10 black spots of Delhi.
The RJs participated in discussions with doctors, RWA presidents, traffic inspectors, market association presidents and local residents of the relevant areas to gain a better understanding of the obstacles to road safety. To solve the problem and identify possible solutions to prevent road accidents in the future, the campaign ended with interactive field activities that included open discussions with ACP, SHO, traffic officers, cyclist groups, school principals, students, RWA and locals. At a special 20 feet high studio at Mukundpur Chowk.
