Despite logging only a few thousand miles on the Bronco’s 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V6, some owners have reported that their Bronco is suffering from valvetrain failures.
Earlier in the Bronco’s run, the Ford SUV had issues with its roof. Not only did the company that built those roofs fail to meet the demand for them, but owners who could get their hands on a Bronco encountered more issues with their car’s roof. Some owners said the headliner was peeling off the Bronco’s roof, and other owners didn’t like the finish Ford gave the roof.
According to Ford Authority, the Bronco recently experienced a minor issue involving an ordering glitch. Car buyers who wanted to add the Sasquatch Package to their Bronco found that the option to do so was not there. This Sasquatch Package issue appears to be related to another issue affecting the Bronco’s auxiliary switch.

As Ford Authority writes, some Bronco buyers have noticed that their Bronco doesn’t come with an auxiliary switch even though it should. This issue is related to the Sasquatch Package issue because both issues occurred when Ford updated its web-based dealer ordering system for the 2023 model year. After the update happened, the Sasquatch Package option disappeared, and so did the auxiliary switches.
Auxiliary switches are features that allow owners to better customize their vehicle, and these switches are standard features on many Bronco trims, including Everglades, Heritage Limited, and the Bronco Raptor. Ford also offered them as an option on some trims, such as the Big Bend, Outer Banks, and Heritage trims.
Ford is aware of this issue, and Ford has also notified dealers about it. Buyers who want their Bronco to have auxiliary switches should check and make sure their order has them.
The 2023 Ford Bronco is a great SUV
The standard Bronco starts at around $32,000, and it’s equipped with a capable 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 300 hp. Because Ford wants owners to build the best Bronco for them, Ford offers many options. There are about 10 Bronco trims available, and they can cost upwards of $75,000 for the Raptor, which is the Bronco’s top trim.
Ford currently offers another engine option in the Bronco, and that other engine is the 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V6, and it gets 330 hp. Regardless of the engine buyers choose, the Bronco should be able to tow up to 3,500 pounds. Car buyers will also have the option between a two-door or four-door version of the Bronco. Overall, this Ford SUV can seat up to five people comfortably.
