UK newspaper front pages were filled with outrage and dismay following the launch of a six-part Netflix documentary series on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
This guardian TV critic Lucy Mangan provides a candid review of the Harry and Meghan documentary, writing the series was “so uncomfortable I almost brought my breakfast”. The headline on the front reads: “Fresh frenzy, but the story remains the same,” reads the review.

This Telegraph The show follows a similar theme, claiming to be a “direct hit” on the Queen’s legacy after the Commonwealth was described as “Empire 2.0”.
The paper, citing royal sources, called the narrative “appalling and factually inaccurate” and said it was “deeply insulting” to the Queen’s memory.
This Time citing a source describing the series as a “soap opera” and disputing Buckingham Palace’s claim that the royal family refused to comment on the series.
The paper says a Palace source said it had only received an approach from an independent production company that it was unable to verify.
“Stop this royal circus” The Daily Mirror says its headline. The paper accuses the couple of “re-establishing the royal family’s war” while ordinary people struggle with the cost of living crisis.
The tabloid also reports that Prince William is said to be “absolutely furious” at the claims of ill-treatment, and describes the rift between the brothers as an “unexpected feud”.
This Metro The entire series focuses on Prince Harry’s suggestion that royals don’t marry for love, apparently on Prince William and King Charles.
“Royals ‘deeply upset’ by Harry’s abuse,” The Express says “Prince Harry mounts fresh defense in his battle against the monarchy,” the paper reports with an emotional close-up of King Charles.
This the sun says “Harry the Nasty”, an apparent reference to the 2005 front page calling him “Harry the Nazi”. He says Prince William feels “betrayed” by Harry’s decision to allow criticism of his brother and wife Kate.
