Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels Ltd (ASPHL) has entered into a partnership with Tata Power to install electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure for four-wheelers across hotel chains in India.
As part of the company’s positive initiatives, all brands under the ASPHL group, such as THE Park Hotels, THE Park Collection, Zone by The Park, and Zone Connect, will install public charging infrastructure at their locations.
These onboard charging facilities will make the ASPHL Group one of the leading hotel chains to adopt EVs across the country.
Tata Power has developed a user-friendly mobile app, enabling EV consumers to find charging stations, which can be booked in advance, or on demand, including the same payment. ASPHL’s existing hotels in each city will also be a part of this application across the country.
Commenting on the installation of EV infrastructure across its chain of hotels, Vijay Dewan, Managing Director of Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels Ltd, said, “We have always worked towards sustainability through our five key areas for strategic operations. By implementing EV infrastructure, we are taking this step forward. with the aim of reducing carbon emissions and sustainability. With possible, consistent access to electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE), it will play an important role in making it easy for our guests to use the service and act as an additional service benefit.”
