Aeria Studio Canada is partnering with Ready Games to add web3 gaming to its titles. Aeria wants to add web3 features to its most popular games. This group provides a short and accessible way to play web3.
Ready Games is a global online gaming ecosystem3 that uses blockchain technology to bring cross-game economics and NFT values to mobile games. The company provides turnkey web3 API and Unity-based software developer kits (SDKs), enabling developers to add web3 game features to web2 games.
On the other hand, Aeria Games is one of the leading North American mobile game developers on Android, with 14 titles currently available on the Play Store. The company has accumulated more than 1 billion downloads cumulatively, with its games currently boasting 2.5 million combined active users (MAU).
Aeria Studio’s “Rescue Robots: Sniper Survival” is its first title to be integrated with web3 gaming features, with in-game assets provided as NFT. A non-fungible token (NFT) is a blockchain-based digital file that represents proof of ownership of a collectible, JPEG, or artwork. In the case of Aeria Games, Ready Games will help the mobile game developer provide game graphics and other game features such as NFT.
The game has over 5 million downloads and an average rating of 4.3 on Android. Its average monthly players (MAPs) of 250,000 make it one of the most popular games in Aeria Studio’s portfolio.
Skilled Games will help Aeria Games develop a secondary market for trading in-game goods and allow players to choose different upgrade paths as they climb the ranks in Rescue Robots.
According to the announcement on November 29, 2022, Rescue Robots: Sniper Survival’s beta launch will begin on December 1, with the global release coming out in January 2023.
Commenting on the partnership, Jorge Flores, CEO of Aeria Canada, said: “We are very excited about our strategic partnership with Ready Games Network. Aeria Canada is accelerating its entry into web3 using the Ready system. Our online gaming users will be introduced to web3 – giving them access to NFT assets and tokens, new rewards and incentives.
On the other hand, David S. Bennahum, CEO of Ready Games, said: “We are pleased to support Aeria with their move into web3 gaming, using our team of web3 gaming operations. and new ecosystem brands, AURA. We can expand our shared journey of bringing online 3D gaming to millions, and eventually billions, of people playing the play on their phones every day.
Both teams are using “Rescue Robots: Sniper Survival” to evaluate the response of players from both communities. The online gaming ecosystem is approved for Android and IOS.
However, while web3 gamers are more than happy with the idea of extending web2 games with web3 features, traditional gamers have resisted the change.
Once this issue is resolved, Aeria Games and Ready Games will be ready to move on to other popular game titles in the Canadian developer’s portfolio.
