The power details of the Ford Mustang Dark Horse have been officially announced and it gets a powerful, naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 engine.
Ford Motor Company has finally revealed the power and torque figures of the upcoming Mustang Dark Horse. The seventh-generation 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse is set to debut next summer. Powering the new Mustang Dark Horse is the revised fourth generation Coyote V8 engine that will produce 493bhp of power output and 566Nm of peak torque. Hence, making it the most powerful non-Shelby edition ever.
Ford also revealed that the standard 2024 Mustang GT will offer 473bhp and 563Nm and when fitted with the optional active valve performance exhaust system, these numbers will increase to 479bhp and 567Nm. According to the manufacturer, the all-new 2024 Mustang EcoBoost will not have the V8 engine found in the Mustang GT. The Mustang EcoBoost will get a new 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine that will generate a power output of 311bhp and 475Nm of maximum torque.

Mustang chief engineer Ed Krenz said “Mustang has always pushed the envelope. From the Mustang GT to the Dark Horse, this is our best 5.0-liter V8. boost power to make it more fun and visceral that drives every Mustang”.
