With Christmas just a week away, it’s not too late for Santa to deliver the car of your dreams. Why not double check your listing and make sure you have the new 2022 Ford Expedition XLT MAX on it. This latest SUV offers plenty of style, durability, space and good looks, all for an amazing price.
The XLT Max is the largest SUV in Ford’s portfolio and for 2022, the latest version gets some welcome upgrades to keep it competitive. It was last redesigned in 2018, so this upgrade is much needed. It’s still the SUV of choice for you who need maximum cargo room and people space.
The XLT can accommodate up to 8 passengers in comfort and style. To further talk about spaciousness, space and storage are at a premium. There’s third-row seating storage, thanks to the 60/40 Powerfold and Power Recline. You can fold the third row seats flat to create more space if needed. 8-way Power Driver Seat (with Power Tilt and Lumbar; Manual Recline) and 4-way Manual Passenger Seat (Fore/Aft, Recline). Let’s not forget about the passengers in the second row. The second-row offers a 40/20/40 split bench manual reclining fold-flat seat with CenterSlide® Smart-charging is also offered in the 3rd row seating, which features USB ports, standard on the Expedition XLT.
Some of the other interior features include: 8” productivity screen; a cargo bin; a leather-wrapped steering wheel, with cruise and audio controls, to name a few.
When you look under the hood of the 2022 Expedition XLT MAX, you’ll see where power and performance meet fuel efficiency. The standard 3.5L EcoBoost® engine offers 380 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. It is designed with active aerodynamics and grille shutters. The front air diffuser allows for more ability to negotiate obstacles at lower speeds while improving aerodynamics at higher speeds to maximize efficiency. The 10-speed Select-Shift transmission has a wide span ratio and optimized gear spacing that helps improve response and performance during acceleration. Even though it’s a big car, when it’s time to accelerate, the power is there.
For drivers who love the outdoors, who may have a boat or trailer, the XLT has you covered. You can tow a boat or trailer weighing up to 9,300 pounds* when properly equipped, using available towing technology. Plus, there’s a sway control feature, front tow hook and hillstart assist, if needed.
THE NUMBERS: MSRP/base $60,190 – MPG: City/16 – Hwy/21
