NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSVIRE / December 1, 2022 /Charge Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ:CRGE) (“Charge” or the “Company”), a global enterprise with a vision of connecting people everywhere with communications and electric vehicle (“EV”) charging infrastructure, and GenZ EV Solutions, Inc. (“GenZ”), today announced the installation of its first ultra-fast ChargeBox (CBKS), powered by ADS-TEC Energi. The installation is in The Suburban Collectionof Troy, Michigan (“Suburban Chrysler”), Lithia Group dealership.
This installation will offer The Suburban Collection ultra-fast charging technology with a battery buffer to support the growing demand for fast charging solutions for electric vehicles. The GenZ EV ChargeBox (CBKS), powered by ADS-TEC, includes 140 kV/h of integrated energy storage that supplies up to 320 kV of energy from existing infrastructure. For locations with utility charges, the technology enables ultra-fast charging with just 50kV of input power from the grid. This technology supports both the avoidance of expensive peak demand charges and the avoidance of costly and time-consuming utility permits and upgrades. The ChargeBok (CBKS) charges one vehicle up to 320 kV, or two EVs up to 160 kV simultaneously, and provides a charging range of 100 miles in less than ten minutes.
Distributed by GenZ, ChargeBok (CBKS) offers ultra-fast charging on existing power-constrained networks with minimal or no infrastructure or upgrades.
“We are excited to have Charge Enterprises as our preferred infrastructure provider for this dealership’s installation at The Suburban Collection.” With Charge’s dedicated engineering team and project management, we are confident in providing exceptional service,” said GenZ Solutions co-founder John Candillier “ChargeBox (CBX) offers greater flexibility that can provide up to 100 miles of range in less than ten minutes of charging and provides a sleek, compact, quiet solution for filling any commercial property.”
Suburban chose ChargeBok (CBKS) because it delivers up to 320 kV of charging for one EV or up to 160 kV for two EVs simultaneously. This provides greater flexibility for the dealer to service and charge EV inventory with limited drain on dealer resources due to fast charging capabilities. In line with the GreenCars initiative, this installation supports dealers’ efforts to focus on sustainable vehicle education and reliable charging infrastructure.
“Charge is thrilled to be working on the front lines with both GenZ and Suburban installing technologically advanced EV charging solutions. While each has its own competitive advantage, the ChargeBok (CBKS) solution has exceptional integrated technology that pairs well with the Tier 2 charging portfolio products,” said Mark LaNeve, President of Charge Enterprises. “Charge Enterprises’ mission is to work with innovative equipment suppliers who share the common goal of supporting our dealer network and fleet operators as we enter the next phase of this transformative EV revolution.”
